The Anglers Database User Guide has been completed and placed on the website for download. The .pdf document can be saved to your PC and opened at your convenience. Download the Newsletter 2 for details.
In addition to the Guide there is also a Sample database and associated Images to use with it. Again, these can be downloaded and installed on your PC.
The Guide
To download The Anglers Database Guide please do as follows:
1. Navigate to The Anglers Database website 'about-the-system' page.
2. At the bottom right of the above website page you will find a pdf icon for the Guide. Beside the icon are three blue underlined Links:
- The Complete Guide
- Sample Database
- Sample Database Images
3. Right-click on The Complete Guide and select ‘Open’ which will do as it says and open the .pdf Guide in your browser. We recommend that you select ’Save Target As’ and download the Guide to a suitable folder. If you are a broadband user then this will take about three minutes to complete. 56k Modem users will take about an hour to complete this download.
4. Once downloaded you can launch the Guide in an Adobe Acrobat reader.
The Sample Database
To download The Anglers Database Sample Database please do as follows:
1. Navigate to The Anglers Database website ‘about-the-system’ page.
2. At the bottom right of the above website page you will find a pdf icon for the Guide. Beside the icon are the above mentioned blue underlined Links.
3. Right-click on Sample Database and select ’Save Target As’ and download the database to the folder C:\Program Files\Anglers Database. If you are a broadband user then this will take less than a minute to complete. 56k Modem users will take about 10 minutes to complete this download.
Images for the Sample Database
For the Sample Database to work you will need to download and install the Images on your ‘C’ drive.
To download The Anglers Database Sample Database Images please do as follows:
1. Navigate to The Anglers Database website ‘about-the-system’ page.
2. At the bottom right of the above website page you will find a pdf icon for the Guide. Beside the icon are the aforementioned blue underlined Links.
3. Right-click on Sample Database Images and select ’Save Target As’ and download the database to the folder C:\Program Files\Anglers Database\Anglers Database - Images. If you are a broadband user then this will take about two minutes to complete. 56k Modem users will take about 40 minutes to complete this download.
4. Once downloaded the folder of Images should be unzipped so that a folder called ’Sample Images’ is created which contains a number of Images.
Using the Sample Database
The Guide (Section 9—The Sample Database) contains instructions for installing the Sample Database.
